2005 PRODUCTION FORECAST PRIZE WINNER...
Guess Who Guessed Best for 2005 !

The results are in, and one "Soothsayer Extraordinaire" stands out in predicting total calendar year 2005 production. As you may recall, we asked everyone who attended SAA's 2005 Automotive Outlook Conference to predict North American car and truck production for the coming year. Without further ado, the winner is:

CARLOS LOZANO SEPULVEDA, Metalsa S de RL, Apodaca, N.L. México

Carlos came closest to predicting the actual 16,994,655 units built in 2005. Carlos' carefully calculated estimate was 17,050,900 units, good enough to win the $500 prize.

The AVERAGE of all estimates was 16,558,081.

Congratulations to all who submitted their prescient prognostications!
